Grad Studies Opportunities

Dr. David Wishart of the Departments of Biological Science and Computing Science and Dr. Burim Ametaj of the Department of Agricultural, Food and Nutritional Science are currently recruiting potential PhD students with a background in analytical chemistry to work on projects related to profiling of the bovine metabolome. Research involves characterizing and profiling the dairy cattle metabolome using NMR and Mass Spectroscopy (GC/MS or LC/MS) technologies. Students will have the opportunity to work with a team of leading structural biologists and analytical chemists to support their research objectives. The individual will also have the opportunity to learn and/or develop cutting edge techniques in NMR and Mass Spectroscopy practices.
A stipend of $24,000 per annum is available to successful candidates.
